It's an amazing summer job, and Wild Blue Yonder has excellent training for guides serious about being professional, taking care of people and running technical rivers. On shore, we run a tight ship, with the variety of trips and packages resulting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In the office, we have a systemized, modern booking and operational system, with a comprehensive marketing program. If you're interested in marketing or tourism management, you'll gain some great experience!

SWIFTWATER RESCUE COURSE: Every spring in Grande Cache, Wild Blue Yonder Rafting offers a 16-hour Swiftwater Rescue Course (Level I & II) through the Royal Lifesaving Society. Although this is mandatory for our guides to take, the course is also open to the public. Level I teaches river dynamics, safety and self-rescue techniques. Level II includes advanced skills and rescue techniques for assisting others; it's recommended for white-water kayakers, rescue teams and guides. It's a good course for Search & Rescue organizations, and we have also trained Canadian Rangers. Here's an article written by a Ranger who took the course in 2014. REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE.

We have filled all full-time positions for the 2019 season. If you live in Revelstoke and would be interested in a part-time position as a raft guide, safety kayaker or bus driver, please send us a resume. To apply, please email a cover letter and resume. No phone calls please.

GUIDE TRAINING & CERTIFICATION: If you have paddling experience on rivers, every year we run a 2-week training program in May to get certified as a raft guide through the Professional River Outfitters Association of Alberta. See the link below for details.
